Observation Drawing: This drawing I copied or observed off of the internet. I first started with my pencil sketching out the hand and the paint brush. I chose the pencil first for the simple reason that I make a lot of mistakes and have to re-draw thing over and over sometimes. After finishing with the pencil I used the charcoal. It has a more gradient look to it and is much darker than the average pencil. I think I did learn some techniques with using the charcoal. Like how not to press on it to hard as to now show your original marks. Also, I think I used a small personal interest engaging the paint brush. I've had a small fascination with painting but have never elaborated much due to the trickiness it possesses.
This next piece was supposed to be a part of the observation assignment. But I think that I had strayed to far of the original sketch so I didn't use it. This piece was supposed to say that I like sneakers, if it really had any 'voice' at all. I stayed pretty much with a more familiar area to me which is sketching with a regular HB pencil. I think I used technology as a tool. I say this because before I began drawing the sneaker, i researched a lot of sneaker sketches just to see the lines and curves of the shoe. I used the VANS logo as my own idea to add to the sneaker.
Last but not least I have the skeleton sketch. I did this on my first day of art class. I usually if not always take a pause and reflect on what i've done so far on the project. I can't exactly pin point when I stopped to look back and my work. I sometimes combine stuff with my own creativity in my artwork. I wasn't to sure about this. I have never drawn a skeleton before, but I think that this turned out alright.
