This first piece is my original 'Steal Like an Artist' project, I used acrylic and watercolor paints. These materials which I am not really used to using along with an ink pen. I think that painting the watercolor over the area with the most ink wasn't the best idea. The ink mixed with the watercolor turning that area a mix between black and yellow. But I guess that it still had a nice effect on the overall look of the flower. I actually found inspiration of the background on a Pinterest page. It was a photograph of a yellow flower zoomed in.
Next, I have a drawing of my uncle, which he had drawn himself. I think that the eye on the right looks almost deformed. So I am hoping that when I get the chance that I can change it for the better. I know for a fact that it took me a lot of times to stand back and analyze my work, and even more time for me to erase it. With the challenges I endured in the creation of this picture I think I just worked through as best as I could.
Last but not least I have this. Honestly this was practice for me with drawing eye and mouth emotions. With the challenges presented to me in drawing these I made sure to look at what I was drawing from the book that I was looking at and see the shapes in the picture. I analyzed every time I went to erase a small imperfection. I learned a new technique with the blending stump. With the shading it came in very handy.
